Clear Plainsawn
This contains both leaf and linear grain patterns. Materials are virtually clear with only an occasional tight knot ¾’’ smaller in diameter.

Select Plainsawn
This contains both leaf and linear grain patterns with knots and other natural character markings throughout. Small to mid-size knots not greater that 2” on their minor axis will be present.

Character Plainsawn
This contains both leaf and linear grain patterns with knots and other natural character markings throughout. There is no limit on natural character markings present, on knot frequency or on knot size.

Distressed Plainsawn
This contains both leaf and linear grain patters with knots and other natural character markings throughout without limit. Additional surface indentations, nail holes or other distressed markings may be present.

Select Quartersawn
This contains 75% clear material overall with a minimum of 75% clear linear grain. Knot size is limited to 1 ½’’ on the minor axis. Select Quartersawn was the grade of flooring material traditionally used in colonial America; it wears very evenly and has great longevity.

Perfection Quartersawn
This contains 100% clear material with a minimum of 90% of all materials having a 100% linear grain face. As the name implies, Perfection Quartersawn is close to perfect and the highest grade of flooring that Wide Floors produces.
